IFI: THE MADE IN ITALY DESIGN CELEBRATED BY THE FARNESINA

2.3.2017

With the 1st Italian Design Day the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation celebrates the design made in Italy as a distinctive sign, great flywheel of our economy and a remarkable window of Italian excellence

The Premiere opened at Palazzo della Farnesina with an exhibition of more than 30 design objects that have won the prestigious Compasso D'Oro ADI Award – the Show will stay in the Farnesina Palace for at least 12 months. Among the design objects that have been selected there is also the gelato display case Bellevue with Panorama® technology (Design Marc Sadler + IFI R&D Dept.).

Marc Sadler, co-father of Bellevue and multiple award-winning designer, commented with these words the important initiative: “I’m happy and honoured to represent a piece of Italian Design, and the fact that I am not Italian proves how design is a universal language, able to connect different business realities and markets.”

A meaningful Day, for both the design and the entrepreneurial worlds, as IFI PresidentGianfranco Tonti commented: It is a source of pride that I feel for all the 350 people who work at IFI, as I consider it an orchestra able to make such valuable projects. At the same time, it is an encouragement to keep on doing good design also in the future.
